Argentina... Beautiful Place to Visit!!!!

This time I will share some information about one of the amazing places in the world that you can also visit.

 The place that I had the opportunity to visit was Buenos Aires, which is located in one of the largest countries in South America called Argentina

Argentina is a large and very developed country that produces and exports beef, grains, and wine.  It is particularly famous for its beef. The asado, an elaborate meal of grilled meat, is one of the most important culinary traditions in this country.

Buenos Aires is also one of  the most common places to visit in Argentina because it is one of the most fascinating of all Latin American capitals. This city is very popular for its fashion, modern art and its traditional local beef and wines. Many tourists also like to visit Buenos Aires because it known as the home of the worlds most romantic dance, the tango. It’s an immensely enjoyable place just to wander about, watch soccer, go shopping or simply soaking up the unique atmosphere. 

Some important places that you can visit in Buenos Aires..........

- Palermo: the biggest and trendiest neighborhood for sightseeing in Buenos Aires. 

- Puerto Madero: his waterfront neighborhood of Buenos Aires is the most modern area of the city. With glass skyscrapers, elegant restaurants and chic nightclubs.

-  La Boca: a colorful and delightful town right off the old port of Buenos Aires, it has been synonymous with tango and football with Italian roots. 

- San Telmo: the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires with beautiful museums, antique shops and old-world churches that nowadays serve as a backdrop for business, culture and daily activity. 

- Microcentro: has a heavy concentration of businesses, bank headquarters, governmental institutions with narrow streets and sidewalks .

- Recoleta: A classy residential and commercial district replete with French-style buildings and art nouveau constructions.

- Tigre: this beautiful and colorful town lies on the shore of the Parana Delta with various outdoor activities such as taking a tour through the islands of the Delta.

The Tango music has been a major symbol of Argentina for the past two centuries, one of the most significant cultural element representing a whole Nation. Here you will find so many places to see a tango show. One of the most famous is Señor Tango. For me was a nice show and I really recommend it.

Interviewing my Roommate!!!

   Knowing Part of her Life....

Her name is Felimar, she is also joining the English Program at the Language Institute, and she has been my roommate since a few months ago. 

This interview was focused on traveling and what this represents for her, in order to know how she enjoy her life and how important is this for her.

Yani: Do you like to travel?

Felimar: Yes, I like to travel.

Yani: What does traveling represent for you? 

Felimar: I think traveling is important because through this, people can obtain some knowledge and at the same time they can have fun. Also because traveling is a big adventure, people can forget everything and get relax during this time.

Yani: Why do you like to travel?

Felimar: I like to travel because I can be relaxed, know new places, and their culture.

Yani: What do you usually do when you travel?

Felimar: When I travel, I like to know the most famous places, try typical food, I like to know native people, their beliefs, and their language. Also, I like to go shopping to buy souvenirs and anything that seem to me attractive.

Yani: What kind of places do you like to visit?

Felimar: I like to visit places, such as beaches, cosmopolitan cities, or places with antique architecture.

Yani: What has been your more significant trip for you and why?

Felimar: The most significant has been traveling to Atlanta because I am learning an important language that I will need in the future for my career. Also, I met wonderful people from different countries, in which I could learn many useful things from them.

Yani: What places are you planning to visit in the future?

Felimar: After I finish studying English, I would like to visit different countries in Europe, such as Italy and Spain.

One of my Favorite Foods!!I

   Italian Food!!!

Italy is really famous for its food and even when times are changing, Italians still find a great pleasure in sitting at a table, at home or restaurant and sharing a good meal together because Italian food for Italians is a reason of pride.

This food is what I really love. I think I could eat this type of food every day because it is so delicious. The most that I like are pasta, pizza, lasagna, caprese salad, and risotto.

If you have the opportunity to go to Italy, you must go to some restaurants and try its delicious food...... Don't you think?

Significant in My Life

I will share a variety of things that I consider significant in my life because they are part of my daily life or because they have a meaningful meaning in my life.

My eyes....

I think this is one of the most significant parts of the body because they definitely can tell people what others are thinking or how they feel. They can tell people more than words do it.

Time for Wine or Coffee....

The vanilla latte is the one that I like when it is time for my coffee.

Some Books.....

These are the books that I like and I must read.

The green one is that I must read to study for my Toefl test. So I  have not choice.

The  black one is a friend's gift that I really wish to read, but I cannot read it now. I will do it after finish studying for my test.

Important thing in my life.....

I think I cannot live without this thing because I have a lot of useful information in there, and I also use this to study, to communicate with my family and friends, to watch news and to find something important that I need.

This is simple but very important gift that I received from a good friend that I met here.

One of my favorite shoes.....

I just bought these shoes when I got to Atlanta.

I really like them because these are the kind of shoes that identify me and at the same time they are so comfortable.

My favorite place at home....

Definitely my room is my favorite place at home because I can feel relax here.

This one of the things that I really miss from my country. 

This is an amazing view from my home in Venezuela.

I used to enjoy  this view and its refresh green environment everyday.

Important Places for me!!!

So as we have some important things in life, we also have some important places, in which we have lived amazing experiences that bring us good memories to our lives, and we also have some places that we wish to know. Here are some of those places....

Caracas.-

This is the city where I was born and raised. 

This place bring to my mind many good memories. The experiences in life are here, and the most important.... my family and friends are also here.

London.- 

This is the city where I lived for a few months after I graduated from the University. 

What a wonderful place. Many people, many things to do and many places to visit. First time that I moved far away from my family. 

Atlanta.- 

This is the city where I am currently living.  One of the best experiences in my life. Amazing buildings, quiet city, diverse places to visit and the most important , I have met a lot of meaningful people here. 

Australia.- 

This is one of the countries that I would like to visit.

Italia.- 

This is one of the countries that I would like to live for a while. 
I really love its food, people, and the diversity of its architecture.

I completely believe that we all have some places that represent something important in our life because we have experienced some good moments in there or because we would like to have some experiences there. I already shared mine. What about you? Would you like    to share them?

Culture Fest!!! Great Event to Know Different Cultures

Last week, students from the Language Institute joined an amazing event, called Culture Fest, which gave the opportunity to the students to know about different cultures by showing typical clothes, food, music, and dances from different countries.

Here are some Korean students from the Language Institute showing typical food for their country.

The most delicious thing that I tried this day was their Korean Tea.

This tea was kind of new for me because I thought that this tea was orange jam, but I realized that was delicious orange tea.

Here we also shared with people from Colombia.

They gave people coffee candy and delicious caramel, which are typical from Colombia.

Also, we had some Language Institute's students from Saudi Arabia, who showed people typical dance from their country.

Venezuela My Beautiful Country!!!

This is one of the places that inspired me to start traveling.

Venezuela is a country in South America, it is home to the world's highest waterfall, Angel Falls and the second longest river in South America, the Orinoco.

It also has the longest coastline to the Caribbean sea.

Venezuela is the world's fifth-largest oil exporter and also has vast untapped reserves of natural of natural gas.

In addition to oil, the major resource in Venezuela, there is a gold, bauxite, iron, coal, hydroelectric resources, and others.

I think Venezuela is an amazing place to visit because it has a diverse geography, such as mountains, crystalline beaches, vast open plains, deserts, and amazing wildlife.
